CT scan pictures of a young boy with a large brain abscess in the right parietal region with severe edema and midline shift. The patient underwent craniotomy and excision of the abscess with uneventful recovery after surgery. Excision helped to reduce his hospital stay, duration of antibiotic requirement and overall cost.
